Mystic Miners is a Swedish esports team representing the Stockholm Society of the New Church. While the team is connected to the Society in Stockholm, its members live across Sweden, bringing together players from different cities united by a shared heritage and vision.

The team’s name reflects two defining elements of Swedish history and New Church tradition: the nation’s world-renowned mining industry and the profound mysticism of Emanuel Swedenborg. Sweden’s rich deposits of iron and the exceptional quality of Swedish steel helped shape the country’s development and reputation throughout the world. Emanuel Swedenborg himself worked extensively within Sweden’s mining and metallurgical industries, contributing to the scientific understanding of iron and mineral resources before becoming known for his theological writings.

The word “Miners” honors Sweden’s generations of miners, engineers, and craftsmen whose skill transformed raw ore into some of the finest iron in Europe. The word “Mystic” reflects Swedenborg’s later spiritual journey and the divine revelations that inspired the teachings of the New Church.
