This page works together with our Event Guidelines. Event hosts are expected to follow both when creating and running TCLeague events.

TCLeague is built to be a welcoming place for esports, tabletop games, friendship, and fellowship. We want every player, host, guest, and team member to feel safe, respected, and encouraged when they take part in our community.

Our goal is simple: play well, treat people well, and build a community that reflects kindness, fairness, honesty, and responsibility.

Our Community Standard

Everyone in TCLeague is expected to treat others with respect. Competition is welcome. Passion is welcome. Disagreement can happen. But personal attacks, harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats, or repeated disruptive behavior are not acceptable.

We ask every member to:

• Be respectful in voice chat, text chat, games, events, and private messages.

• Keep competition fair and honest.

• Welcome new players and help them feel included.

• Avoid language or behavior that targets someone’s identity, faith, background, ability, or experience level.

• Listen to moderators, event hosts, and team leaders.

• Step away or cool down if a conversation or match becomes heated.

TCLeague is a community first. Winning matters less than how we treat people while we play.

Esports Conduct

Esports events should be competitive, fair, and fun. Players are expected to follow the rules of each tournament, league, match, or game night.

Players should not cheat, exploit bugs, smurf, intentionally throw matches, abuse opponents, harass teammates, or use offensive team names, usernames, images, or messages.

Good sportsmanship matters before, during, and after every match. Win with humility. Lose with grace. If there is a dispute, contact a moderator or tournament admin instead of escalating the situation in chat.

Tabletop Conduct

Tabletop events should be welcoming, patient, and respectful. Whether the event is a board game night, RPG session, card game, miniature game, or casual hangout, every player should feel comfortable at the table.

Players and hosts should respect boundaries, avoid disruptive behavior, explain rules clearly when needed, and make room for beginners. Tabletop games often involve conversation, imagination, and shared storytelling, so we ask everyone to be considerate with tone, themes, jokes, and personal boundaries.

If a game includes mature themes, intense roleplay, horror, conflict, or sensitive topics, the host should explain that before the event begins.

Voice Chat & Discord Rules

Voice chat should be friendly and appropriate for the setting. Do not shout over others, repeatedly interrupt, play loud background noise, use soundboards abusively, or pressure people to speak if they are uncomfortable.

In Discord and other community spaces, do not spam, harass, impersonate others, share private information, post unsafe links, or continue arguments after a moderator has asked people to stop.

Private messages should also follow the same standards as public channels. Harassment in DMs connected to TCLeague may still be handled by moderators.

Youth Safety

TCLeague wants to be a safe environment for younger participants as well as adults. Because of that, we expect all members to be especially careful with language, jokes, private messages, and voice chat behavior.

Adults should not pressure younger members into private conversations, secrecy, personal sharing, or uncomfortable situations. If something feels inappropriate, unsafe, or confusing, report it to a moderator or trusted leader.

Moderators may step in, remove content, restrict access, or contact guardians or platform support when needed to protect younger members.

Reporting a Problem

If something happens that makes you feel unsafe, uncomfortable, targeted, or concerned for someone else, please report it.

You can report:

• Harassment or bullying

• Threats or aggressive behavior

• Hate speech or discriminatory comments

• Cheating or unfair play

• Unsafe private messages

• Inappropriate content

• Repeated disruptive behavior

• Concerns involving younger members

• Anything that feels harmful to the community

When reporting, include as much detail as you can:

• What happened

• Who was involved

• When it happened

• Where it happened

• Screenshots, links, or message IDs if available

Reports will be handled with care. We cannot always share every action taken, but we will review concerns seriously.

How Moderation Works

Moderators and leaders may take action when behavior harms the community or breaks our standards. The response depends on the situation, the severity, and whether the behavior is repeated.

Possible moderation actions include:

• A reminder or informal warning

• Removing a message or post

• Asking someone to leave a voice channel or event

• A formal warning

• Temporary mute or timeout

• Removal from an event

• Temporary suspension

• Permanent ban from TCLeague spaces

Serious safety concerns, threats, harassment, or predatory behavior may result in immediate removal without warning.

Event Host Responsibilities

Event hosts help set the tone for TCLeague gatherings. If you host an esports match, tabletop night, RPG session, community meeting, or casual game event, you are responsible for making the event clear and welcoming.

Hosts should:

• Explain the event rules and expectations

• Make sure new players know how to join

• Keep the event respectful and organized

• Ask for help from moderators if needed

• Avoid favoritism or unfair treatment

• Make sure the event matches TCLeague’s community standards

Hosts do not need to handle every difficult situation alone. If a problem becomes serious, contact a moderator.

Appeals and Mistakes

Moderators are human, and sometimes situations need more context. If you believe a moderation decision was made by mistake, you may contact the moderation team respectfully and explain what happened.

Appeals should be honest, calm, and focused on the situation. Harassing moderators, creating drama, or attacking others will not help an appeal.

TCLeague exists to bring people together through games, fellowship, and shared community. We want to build a place where people can compete, laugh, learn, grow, and belong.

A strong community is not built only by rules. It is built by people choosing patience, honesty, courage, forgiveness, and care for one another.
